There are three different Small Business Legal Plans. What I intend to do here is explain the differences between the three so you can select the right plan for your business so you can then get the maximum support from your plan (please bare in mind, as with anything, the clear on your questions the clearer your answers will be).

SMALL BIZ 10 -  (10 employees or less)

(Cost is $39.00 per month / There is no enrollment Fees and you can cancel anytime)

With your small business 10 plan you will receive the following:

1.  You are allowed to have two (2) designated users

2.  You will receive legal consultation with unlimited minutes and matters

3.  You will receive three designated consultations per year at 30 minutes each.  

4.  You will received up to 20 calls or letter per year (up to 6 in any one month), 1 follow-up letter per subject matter

5. You will receive up to 5 collections letter per month

6.  You can have up to 20 documents reviewed of 15 pages within a year 

6.  There is no trail defense authorized with this plan 

7.  You will receive a 25% discount off all matters not covered above

SMALL BIZ 50 -  (50 employees or less)

(Cost is $89.00 per month /  There is no enrollment Fee) 

With your small business 50 plan you will receive the following:

1.  You are allowed to have two (3) designated users

2.  You will receive legal consultation with unlimited minutes and matters

3.  You will receive three designated consultations per year at 30 minutes each.  

4.  You will received up to 30 calls or letter per year (up to 6 in any one month), 1 follow-up letter per subject matter

5. You will receive up to 10 collections letter per month

6.  You can have up to 30 documents reviewed of 15 pages within a year 

6.  Regarding trail defense, you are authorized up to 75 hours per year, includes 15 hours of pre-trail time  

7.  You will receive a 25% discount off all matters not covered above

SMALL BIZ 100 -  (100 employees or less)

(Cost is $149.00 per month / There is no enrollment Fee)

With your small business 100 plan you will receive the following:

1.  You are allowed to have two (3) designated users

2.  You will receive legal consultation with unlimited minutes and matters

3.  You will receive three designated consultations per year at 30 minutes each.  

4.  You will received up to 30 calls or letter per year (up to 6 in any one month), 1 follow-up letter per subject matter

5. You will receive up to 10 collections letter per month

6.  You can have up to 30 documents reviewed of 15 pages within a year 

6.  You are authorized up to 75 hours per year, includes 15 hours of pre-trail time 

7.  You will receive a 25% discount off all matters not covered above

HOME BUSINESS SUPPLEMENT ($9.95)

(Not available to business with employees)

Weather you own a home business, are a consultant or need business legal advice, you can add the Home Business Supplement to your personal legal plan.  

Advice

* Phone consultation on an unlimited number of business topics, even on pre-existing conditions

Legal Document Review (up to 15 pages each)

* Up to three business contracts or documents per month

* Does not include review of documents relating to court proceedings or lawsuits

Letters and Phone Calls on Your Behalf

* Up to six letters/phone calls per year (one per subject matter)

* Available at the discretion of your Provider lawyer

Debt Collection Letters on Your Behalf

* Up to three initial debt collection letters per month

Speciality Matters and Out-of-State Consultation

* Two thirty-minute consultations per year

* Topics include out-of-state business and these speciality areas of law:  Employment, Tax, Securities, Intellectual Property, International Law, Import/Export, Antitrust, Immigration 

IRS Audit Services

* IRS Audit Services include Schedule C and E (attached to member’s personal tax return)

Trail Defense Supplement

Trails can be expensive and time-consuming, which is why LegalShield offers a supplement to your legal plan providing more trail coverage,  It may be that you feel more susceptible to lawsuits or you just desire to have more trial benefit hours.  The Trial Defense Supplement provides you with the additional coverage you need in the event you have to defend yourself in court.

With an additional 100 hours, 75 hours of trial time and 25 hours of pre-trial time each year, you can rest assured that you and your family will be covered no matter what comes your way.  Below are the Trail Defense hours when you add the Trail Defense Supplement to your personal legal plan.

According to pass experience this is the area our plan members use most.  All you need to do is pick up the phone and call your Provider Law Firm on any legal matter affecting your business, … including but not listed to:

* Hiring/Firing - (You should never fire an employee without consulting with an attorney, never)

* Incorporation

* Small Claims

* Equipment leases

* Joint Ventures

* Bankruptcy

* Landlord tenant disputes - (Though I hate to mention this area, (I am a longtime landlord), but this is an area that almost all SBO face.

* Bad check recovery 

* Customer complaints - (I do my best to do things right the first time around but people sometimes complain, especially about rent increases.

* Vendor issues

* Creditor harassment 

* Identity Theft - I was once turn down for a Credit Processing Card, someone had hijacked my business name and started doing business - my lawyers were able to clear that matter up with only a letter to the card issuing company …

More On Designated Consultations

For out-of-state matters and specific areas of law, your business is entitled to three 30-minutes phone consultations per year.  Further services beyond the telephone consultation will be provided at a discount of 10% to 25% from the provider attorney’s standard hourly corporate rate.
